Ugly Christmas Sweater Extraordinaire
This weekend I was invited to an ugly sweater party. I had no idea what to wear… ^_~ I went to a couple of thrift stores but I didn’t find a thing so I went to Ross and Hobby Lobby. I bought a plain sweater, some felt, plastic light bulbs, and tiny bells.

I traced some designs on paper and cut them out. I ended up making the Santa and the tree bigger than the paper cutouts.
Here’s the Santa. I didn’t use a template for the shoes or belt. You can see my tree and the Christmas lights I hot glued on.

Hello creepy Santa head! I pulled this off a creepy ornament. It was just a Santa head and a weird heart shaped pillow thing. I was gonna make a Santa face but I realized I didn’t buy cream colored felt. So my mom suggested this thing.

Here’s the snowman. I just cut out some circles and stuff and glued them on.

So after I cut out those things I decided that it wasn’t busy enough. So I cut out a square and some rectangles and made a present. But it wan’t enough! So I lined the collar with alternating bells and lights. Then I hot glued REAL candy canes onto the other side. I even added 2 bells on each wrist. With a giant poinsettia on my head, I was ready to get out the door and on my way. My husbands sweater you ask? I just sewed those on because he didn’t want me to ruin his sweater. He won that snowman for me in a claw machine, by the way.
And that’s how you make an ugly sweater. Merry Christmas!
